How to Reach Juiz de Fora
International participants traveling to Juiz de Fora, Brazil have two main and convenient options for arrival.
- Via Rio de Janeiro: Travelers may arrive through Rio de Janeiro–Galeão International Airport (Tom Jobim Airport – GIG), one of Brazil’s main international gateways. Juiz de Fora is located approximately two hours from Rio de Janeiro via a modern duplicated highway. Intercity buses depart from Rio de Janeiro’s main bus terminal every hour. The conference organization may also arrange transportation between Rio de Janeiro and Juiz de Fora for participants.
- Via Zona da Mata Regional Airport: Participants may also arrive via the Zona da Mata Regional Airport (IZA), located in the Juiz de Fora region, approximately one hour from the city center. The airport operates direct domestic flights to Campinas and São Paulo, allowing convenient connections from major international hubs. Regular bus and ground transportation services connect the airport to downtown Juiz de Fora.
